Jaguar XK150 3.4 – Thoroughbred Le Mans-bred Classic

The Jaguar XK150 is not just another classic; it is the final evolution of Jaguar’s legendary XK line – a true super sports car of its era, heavily influenced by Jaguar’s dominance at Le Mans in the 1950s.

Under the bonnet sits the iconic 3.4-litre DOHC straight-six, a close relative of the engines that powered the C-Type and D-Type to multiple Le Mans victories. In road trim it produced around 210 bhp and 290 Nm, delivering effortless torque, a wonderfully mechanical growl and the kind of long-legged performance that made these cars genuine 120 mph grand tourers in period.

Like the racing cars it descends from, this XK150 is equipped with Dunlop disc brakes on all four wheels – a major technological leap at the time and one of the reasons the XK150 was considered one of the safest, most advanced sporting cars of the late 1950s. Stopping power matches the performance, giving real confidence on modern roads.

Inside, the cabin is every bit as special as the engineering. Finished in rich Ox Blood red leather with matching red carpets, it perfectly complements the deep black exterior. The dashboard retains its correct period switchgear, and the original Radiomobile radio is still in place, adding to the authentic 1950s Jaguar ambience.

The car sits on classic wire wheels, with the correct wire-wheel spare present. It has been kept largely original over the years, with sympathetic restoration work and a repaint to preserve its appearance while respecting its character. A Jaguar Heritage Certificate accompanies the vehicle, confirming its provenance and adding to its desirability.

Highly collectible and increasingly sought-after worldwide, the XK150 is an enthusiast’s dream – the last, most refined iteration of the legendary XK line, blending race-bred engineering, timeless styling and genuine investment potential. Don’t miss the opportunity to own one of Jaguar’s greatest post-war sports cars
