The 1964 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series I is pure early Ferrari elegance, usable, and a seriously wise choice for anyone looking at premium investment-grade classics. It represents the last of the more straightforward ladder-frame Ferraris, which gives it a wonderfully direct, driver-friendly feel, and it’s powered by the legendary Colombo V12, delivering around 300 hp with proper theatre every time you lean on the throttle.
Finished in Grigio Fumo with a red interior, this example remains in factory-correct specification and comes with a strong ownership file. It shows five owners from new and was imported into South Africa by Trans Africa Cars on 5 February 1965. The car has recently benefited from a new upholstery fit-out, the tool roll remains in the boot, and recent work includes refreshed carburettors, brake booster rebuilds, a full service with fluids, fuel system attention, underside chassis restoration to correct spec, and restoration of the five original Borrani wheels with new Michelin XWX tyres.
A total of 625 Series I cars (including 125 interim cars) were produced up to 1965.
