Description

DECEASED ESTATE

The Land Rover Series IIA is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and enduring Land Rovers ever built. A product of steady evolution rather than radical change, the Series IIA retained the unmistakable early Land Rover styling while offering improved usability, reliability and durability.

This 1969 Land Rover Series IIA 88″ is fitted with the 2¼-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. These short-wheelbase Land Rovers are loved for their simplicity, rugged construction and go-anywhere character.

This example is a South African-assembled vehicle and still retains its correct chassis plate and emblems. The dashboard emblem reads Land Rover Leyland South Africa, adding to its local heritage and collector interest.

Finished in white with a brown interior, this Land Rover has all the proper old-school charm expected from a classic Series model.

The vehicle has not been run for a few years and will require recommissioning before being returned to road use. This should include at least a new battery, fluid changes, mechanical checks and general setup.

A great project for the classic Land Rover enthusiast, this Series IIA offers strong character, South African assembly heritage and all the rugged appeal that made these vehicles legendary.
