Description

This 1968 Ford Mustang is a genuine two-owner car, with the current owner having kept it since 1984. Built in 1968 and first registered in 1969, it was originally an export model delivered to Zambia, as confirmed by the data plate — a rare and interesting piece of its history.

Powered by the classic 289ci 2-barrel small block V8 paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox, this Mustang retains its authentic factory character. The car still wears its original steel wheels with caps, and inside you’ll find the factory bucket seat interior, showing honest age. The rear seat has a small hole, the driver’s seat has tears, and the cabin remains largely untouched, featuring an old Phillips radio, a Sanyo 8-Track deck, and a Sanyo cassette deck — a real period time capsule.

Cosmetically, the paintwork has aged and there are minor dents on the bonnet and left front fender. Mechanically, the brake booster has a vacuum leak and will require attention.

With its preserved patina, originality, and long-term ownership, this Mustang is ideal for an enthusiast or collector who appreciates an unrestored, period-correct classic that can be enjoyed as-is or taken on as a light restoration project.
