One of the rarest little diesel hatches in the country is up for grabs. This 2001 Volkswagen Lupo 1.4 TDI blends quirky character, German efficiency and punchy diesel torque in a compact package that somehow still stands out parked next to serious builds.
Condition & Features
Mechanically solid with a few age-related quirks (nothing dramatic, all can be explained):
- Reverse light fuse currently popping intermittently
- Passenger window mechanism is temperamental
Interior and upgrades:
- Custom front seats: SEAT Leon Cupra bucket seats mounted to original Lupo seat frames – fully collapsible and adjustable, no dodgy brackets or welding
- OEM+ interior: Original GTI-style seat fabric front and rear for that factory-plus look
- Wheels: OEM Lupo GTI Bathurst alloys (similar look to Velociti wheels) with GTI centre caps
- Audio: Pioneer head unit with a stealth install – 10” Infinity sub in the boot with a hidden amplifier, and still retains a proper spare wheel underneath
