Formed in 1982, Birkin Cars Ltd. is a South African manufacturer best known for producing the S3 Roadster, a faithful kit-car recreation of the legendary Lotus Super 7. Founded by John Watson, a descendant of pioneering race car driver Sir Tim Birkin, the company quickly earned a reputation for building lightweight, engaging, and true-to-form drivers’ cars.
