This 1982 BMW 323i Baur Cabriolet is a special and highly charming example of BMW’s first-generation 3 Series, the much-loved E21.

The 323i was the flagship model of the E21 range, powered by BMW’s smooth and lively 2.3-litre fuel-injected inline-6 engine. It offered proper performance for its time and carried the classic BMW recipe of compact size, rear-wheel drive balance and straight-six character.

What makes this car stand out even further is the Baur Cabriolet conversion. Unlike a conventional full convertible, the Baur design retained the car’s structural roof frame while adding a removable front roof section and folding rear soft-top arrangement.
