The BMW M 635 CSi remains one of the most distinctive performance grand tourers of the 1980s, combining the elegant lines of the E24 6 Series with the character and performance of BMW’s legendary inline-six engine.

This particular example has undergone an extensive, no-expense-spared refurbishment and has been transformed into a highly individual custom build. The refurbishment included the removal of the engine and complete interior to allow for a comprehensive colour change. The body was refinished in a striking custom dark blue and black metallic paintwork, which beautifully complements the unmistakable shark-nose styling of the E24.

The interior has been completely and professionally retrimmed in cream stitched leather. Modern BMW-style electrically adjustable sports seats have been installed, while the door panels and surrounding trim have also been finished in leather. A new roof lining has been fitted, and the steering wheel has been retrimmed to complete the luxurious cabin.

A substantial custom audio installation has also been incorporated into the vehicle. The system includes an Audison amplifier, Rockford Fosgate speakers and custom-mounted subwoofers housed within the fully retrimmed boot. A Clarion touchscreen unit is mounted in a purpose-built dashboard pod, while a JVC Bluetooth radio remains fitted in the original radio position.

The car was originally equipped with a five-speed manual transmission but has subsequently been converted to a four-speed automatic. It retains its 3.5-litre inline-six engine.

Completing the exterior appearance are 20-inch BBS-style alloy wheels, fitted with 245/30/20 tyres at the front and wider 255/30/20 tyres at the rear.
