Description

The 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible remains one of the most recognisable American classics ever built. As part of the first-generation Mustang range, it helped create an entirely new class of affordable performance car and quickly became a symbol of style, freedom and open-road motoring.

This example has been restored while remaining as close to its original specification as possible. It is powered by the correct 289 cu. in. V8 fitted with a two-barrel carburettor and paired with a desirable 4-speed manual transmission. A later-type distributor has been fitted.

The black interior features bucket seats and the optional Rally-Pac auxiliary gauges, while the original radio remains in place. A wood-rim steering wheel has been added, together with a more modern centre console incorporating cup holders.

Finished in classic red over black, this Mustang has all the ingredients of a proper driver’s car. With the roof down, the V8 rumbling and the manual gearbox in hand, it is the ideal machine for relaxed weekend cruising and open-road enjoyment.
