Description

Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III “Chinese Eye” DECEASED ESTATE

Introducing a rare and elegant Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III “Chinese Eye”, Coach-built by H.J. Mulliner Park Ward Limited.

Finished in a deep burgundy, this Silver Cloud III carries all the stately presence expected from a hand-built Rolls-Royce. From the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy leading the way to the distinctive “Chinese Eye” front-end design, it is a car that still commands attention with quiet authority.

Inside, the cabin is pure old-world Rolls-Royce charm. The cream leather, rich wood veneer, Smiths instrumentation and period detailing create an atmosphere that modern luxury cars simply cannot replicate. There is also that unmistakable Rolls-Royce interior smell — aged leather, polished wood and history the kind of character only a car of this era can offer.

This example also carries a J. Austin & Sons Ltd supplied-by plaque, adding another wonderful period detail to its story. The odometer currently indicates 55,708 miles.

This Silver Cloud III was discovered in a basement in Johannesburg, where it had been stored for several years and has not been driven. As such, it will require recommissioning and restoration to return it to the stately presence it deserves.

Rare, elegant and full of occasion, this H.J. Mulliner Park Ward-bodied Silver Cloud III offers the next custodian a special opportunity to revive one of Rolls-Royce’s most distinctive coach-built designs.
