The Sunbeam Rapier is a stylish and characterful British classic, produced by the Rootes Group and admired for its blend of elegant design, usable performance and sporting charm. With its distinctive two-door saloon body, long bonnet, short rear deck and chrome detailing, the Rapier carries a strong period presence.
Power comes from a 1500cc 4-cylinder engine fitted with twin carburettors, paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. In period, the Rapier was well regarded as a more spirited and refined small saloon, offering enjoyable driving manners with a touch of sporting intent.
Finished in blue with a matching blue interior, this example retains many of the classic details that make the Rapier so appealing. The cabin features a burr walnut veneer dashboard with a padded top section, black-faced British Jaeger instruments and a period push-button radio still fitted, giving the interior a proper vintage feel.
The vehicle was previously in running condition but has not been used for some time. It will require a proper inspection, general check-over and recommissioning before being returned to regular road use.
A charming 1960s British classic, this Sunbeam Rapier offers strong character, attractive styling and plenty of appeal for the enthusiast looking for something a little different.
