Power comes from a Chevrolet 350ci V8 paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, with Jaguar suspension helping keep the car planted while still delivering that wild open-top driving feel. The motor was rebuilt in June 2024 at a cost of R53,000 and has been upgraded with Edelbrock heads, inlet and manifold, an E-Street 315HP Performance Kit, 600CFM carb and Performer 2101 cam, giving it stronger performance than a standard 350 V8.
